This was the first song on the short concert film "ILLtet live at CBGB's" June 9, 1995. The song may have been written originally for the demo of Sweet Lizard Illtet's second Warner Brothers album, which never happened.
You might say that it marks the beginning of the Illtet's DIY phase, perhaps not entirely accurate but fitting since the band were signed to a major before building a following or really producing anything. The song terrified management and signaled what was inevitably rising from the iLL underworld of the 1990's.
The guy stage diving in the NJ Devils jersey is Rob Zero, frontman with the hardcore band Faction Zero. Faction Zero played this night as well and many others during that time. Faction Zero also made a record at the iLLtet's Mutiny Zoo Recording studio with Zef Noise and mike iLL.
Sometimes you want to be Transparent, sometimes you simply are so. The song is easy enough to see through.
